OS from 1 SSD to another?

Ive just done this from a 90gb ssd to a 64gb ssd. I made a image of the 90gb ssd using acronis true image, then I just restored the image to the 64gb ssd.

Remember if the ssd that your restoring the image to isn't new, secure erase the ssd first.

samsung 830 is new yes.....i would like to avoid acronis true image, because it interferce with XTREAMER WIFI not showing shared maps to watch movies on my TV etc.

i got nothing with samsung 830, cause it was pure oem drive, cheapest :)

i'll install that and try it.....from intel to samsung hehe.

use macrium reflect its free, once done expand the partition to fill the 256gb new drive as it will be a 120gb size copy of the intel install

Intel has a very good app exclusive for cloning hard drives
You have to have one present in your system to use it
I did a lot of cloning on mechanical drives using the software :)
But you can not clone a partition, only an entire HDD
So if you migrate from a 1TB HDD to a SSD you have to delete D otherwise it will not let you not enough space on the ssd for cloning

I'm gonna try this migrate Samsung software, anything particular to know about?

I'll have new Samsung 830 256GB connected to USB 3.0 SATA connector.

Should I close all programs and all?

Which Magician should i install, 3.2 or 4.0 ?
