Basically as above. However when i choose to install a program peazip for example on my hdd it fails and errors. When i double click on my hdd drive to view content its empty. Should thete be anything in there. Its formatted ntfs. Its an empty drive with absolutely nothing in it not one single folder what am i doing wrong?

are you creating a folder on the hdd and then when you install peazip choose custom and point it to the folder on the hdd?

also try running the installer as admin

Yeh thats what im doing. Should there be any folders on the hdd at all like windows folders, users etc. I kbow they are on my ssd where they belong but was wondering if they should be on there too.

no not if its a new storage hdd,you have to create a folder yourself first and name it to what program your installing

then during the install guide it to the new folder on the hdd, thats what I do

If you were trying to install it to the root of the drive it probably would have done the above. Even running installers as admin struggle with doing that.
