OS Problems?? Help Please??

Hi Guys,

Just fixed my other problem and ive now run into another!! When i now turn the PC on it says 'Start Windows Normally' and all the other options. When i select 'Start Windows Normally', my PC just restarts itselfs?

Any thoughts?

Have you done anything to your PC before this happened? Installed software etc or added hardware? If it's a new build and you've just stuck the old hard drive back in then it's going to do it and you will need to reinstall windows.

If, however, you have changed your motherboard and your windows license was not a retail one then you need to purchase a new windows license.

before reinstalling, boot from the windows cd, and select recovery mode (R) then console (C), then after putting the admin password in, type chkdsk c: /r, let it run through, should take about 15-30mins depending on the system and see if that manages to un-hose your system.

you've got nothing to lose if you're going to wipe it anyway.
