Booted pc up last night to find a blue screen suggesting i perform a chkdisk. Stupidly i didnt take note of the number etc but i rebooted and it hung on the Vista loading bar.
Having had problems before due to loose sata cables i checked and gave them all a push to make sure they were ok, booted back up and got into windows fine. No data loss, just intel storage telling me one of my raptor x's are failling.
So, i have backed up all my data and have used Acronis to do a complete image of my OS install which is backed up onto another HDD. Tried running WD Diagnostic from cd but it gets stuck on "Starting Caldera DR-DOS..." with my only option to ctrl+alt+del to reboot.
Have ran HDTune a few times to see if there's anything untoward (which there isn't) and in doing a full error scan resulted in not a single fault. I've also just had windows do a chkdisk which came back fine.
Is there any other way i could check the drive without destroying the raid?
