I have a question!

When I first turned on my macbook last week I took a picture for my profile, I got a nice picture using the webcam of me and my girlfriend. Now I can only find the small thumbnail but not the big one :(

I really wanna have it, does anyone know how to get the normal sized profile picture? Where it is localed, and if it IS located anywhere?

Try looking in the following path:

Your Account/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/Images

My account's profile picture is the only JPEG file in this directory, maybe it's the same for you? :)

Many thanks for the reply! I will try this tonight when I'm at home and will post back here if it works! :)

Ok I've just checked it, there is a file in there with a strange name without extension. I copied it to the desktop and renamed it that it has a normal name with jpg extension. When I open it I see an Apple logo as picture, clearly this is not the picture. Do I need to login with some sort of superuser status so that I can see more files in that directory then I can do now?

Thanks for the help :)

Oops, it appears my previous reply was only applicable if you had an existing picture that you used to changed your original account picture. Sorry! :o

The location of your original account picture is:

Macintosh HD/Library/Caches

You should see a file that has a thumbnail of your original account picture. Unfortunately it's not in its original size and I'm unable to find the location of it. Google doesn't seem to help either :o

Thanks for you reply, you are right, I did find the thumbnail. Unfortunately I had already found that one. Maybe there is no full size picture of it... :(
