Other general discussion forums?

I used to use the forums on www.thesite.org which had a general section, health (including medical threads), IT, housing & law, clubbing, travel etc. It's geared towards student age though, so while I did use it as a student and a few years after uni finished, I found that they were getting younger and younger on there so I gave up the ghost a few years ago. It was a good resource for information and I'm pretty sure that's how I found out about Overclockers from their IT section.

something aweful some of the random creative stuff of there i just love.

wish some would have more fun and not be so strict.

Somethingawful forums is way better than here for most things, its $10 to join and the riffraff are kept out. It is however USA based.

I still can't get my head around $10 to join up to a forum. But I guess I can understand to some degree about the riffraff but $10 wont keep them out.

There is a secret OCUK forum that only certain people know about.

It's apparently a bit like a underground gay bar.

Yes it's called shoevomit, you can't access the forums any more unless you are a member however I quite distinctly remember seeing a few registered usernames that I recognised and also references to this forum.
