Other than you, who do you know that buys blu ray/UHD media

SO minimum package is £120 per year after the free trial. That's at least six UHD discs that you can buy an own a year, maybe seven if you buy some on ebay/used. Not saying it's bad, you just gotta watch one film at least every two months to 'break even' for the ownership option.

Just depends how much time and want you've got to watch films obviously.

I get between 4 and 8 discs a month (depending), great value considering how much that would cost to buy.

I don't know anyone else who buys discs

I still buy some things on disc.

I have a few DVD's that I will likely never replace unless I can get a cheap HD version on streaming service.

I have a fair few blu-rays - only a few which will be replaced with UHD

I have a slowly growing UHD collection - which will likely only ever get replaced when they fail. Think we will really be hitting diminishing returns beyond this and what ever comes next

Streaming services are for initial rentals to see if I like something, day to day for series or if general consumption. But if it's something I want to really enjoy visually, without any distracting artifacts or compression, in goes a disc.

got about 800 br's and approaching 200 4k films, wont stop buying films on disc until its no longer an option.

streaming is great , but as you cant guarantee a certain film will be available to stream one month to the next I will always choose physical media over streaming even without considering the quality differences.

I am a lot more careful about what I buy in 4k though, just buying all those films I am positive I know I want in the best quality, more random films I think I will like are bought on BR at a budget price

Have about 35TB of original / full quality rips on my plex server
