well it isn't too far removed from a man who is adamant he is a woman or vice versa - essentially people who think they're in the wrong body for whatever reason... whether it is the more common issue of believing they're the wrong gender through to that dad who decided he's a 6 year old girl though to some of there people who feel like they're some kind of animal or something

but yeah it is all quite likely related to mental illnesses (or trolling)
 
I've often wondered about this kind of thing and the reasons / mentality behind it. Is it a physical chemical imbalance or is this a mental thing, a need for attention or a will for a sense of belonging? I have met a few Bronies across various forums (the DayZ forums being full of them oddly enough) and they range from being quite popular to complete weirdos, outcasts of society.

I have loads of theories and thoughts about them but I don't think my keyboard will be able to handle it and this beer won't drink itself so I'll leave them for another time, but I am actually very interested in the reasoning behind it.
 
Hard to believe, but there are some people out there that make furries seem less strange.
