Our Guest for the week

you can buy them online from exotic pet shops and you can order live and frozen food from them too.

I like the A.P.T.O.R Gecko, lovely colour orange. About $400 online :(

You can pick them up for around £10-£40 depending on the type you want but the tank, heating etc will cost a lot more.

That's just er.... weird

Like me going in and asking for a few of their mice, when asked why, i say "oh i own a bird of prey".
I expect i'd get thrown out!

My mate used to buy gold fish for his pirana till they found out what he was buying them for.... but the locusts / crickets are seen as pests or insects so don't count apparently

If you order them online, how do you go about getting them then?

No, you wouldn't. You can buy baby mice as petfood.

I just didn't think Pet Shops would sell you anything living if it was going to be eaten.

Clearly i'm wrong, then again, I have no pets :)

lol , meaning i will using my fish tank for it and wasnt sure how long there goona live :p looking at 8 and 1/2 years for the silver dollars

Ive got a Leopard Gecko too, once I get a new digi cam i'll post a few picks. Only had her about 4 months, but there really easy to look after, and quite easy to train to be ok with being handled.

Need to get a lightly larger viarium at some point, but they don't really take up much space either. And it's prety cool watching them hunt alive food.

No you can't, it's illegal to feed any live mammals to a pet, unless the pet literally can't eat anything else.

You can buy pinkies though, which are frozen baby mice.. urgh!

And Tute - You can buy bags of crickets from petshops. I ordered 5 boxes of them on Tuesday for my spiders, frogs, toads and lizards :)

I love geckos and would love to get some but I can't stand bugs, I get shivers up my spine just thinking about them crawling around in a container - Ick!!!

I don't mind lizards or insects or even frozen dead mice - I've seen pinkies before as my friend has a pet snake. It's just I get a little cringey around spiders/tarantulas... meh.
