Our pond

Also, have you considered some plants next to the fountain? I think this could look pretty good:

But would need a little bit of maintenance and might make getting under the pump impossible..

Thanks :)

the filter isn't easy to hide as it is so big.

the bricks will have somethig to go on top to finish them off and we will be outting some plants around the pond and several more to go in the pond.

we wont have a porblem with cats as there is quite a distance between the top of the wall and the water so they will have to risk falling in. herons also shouldn't be a problem as they dont like enclosed spaces and we have a woods next to our house so they dont have a clear getaway they also prefer to walk into the water rather then land in it.

Would echo the need for some netting over it as a heron would have a field
day.

Should cost around a £10.00 from your local garden centre better than
waking up to an empty pond.

Looks nice but it looks like it dwarfs the garden and not much room for a bench to sit next to it and just soak up the sun and listen to the waterfall.

Nice work, I know nothing about building ponds but I think it'd look a lot nicer if you could clad the brick in a material a bit prettier than the red brick! :)

Some guy where I used to live had 3 different ponds in his back garden. His shed used to be this massive filtration container! It was awesome!

I love ponds. Can't wait to get my own place and have a nice little water feature of my own. Good work :)
