I towed my brother's Mk1 Escort about 20 miles home and couldn't work out why I was stuggling to hold it at 50mph with my foot right in, so loads of Weber noise, then the hillstarts were near impossible. I'd never towed a car before. Got home and there was smoke billowing out the rear end where he'd left the handbrake on. It had melted all the brakes and we ended up having to replace the whole lot lol

It got caught under the front bumper (didn't realise how low that thing is) as I brought my legs back down.

I was very lucky actually... could have easily got my foot stuck. Never going to try anything that stupid again.
