Out of Licences for a steam game?

I've just gone to play Crysis through my laptop through Steam and its told me that the game cannot start because i'm out of licences, I reguarly re-install both my PC and laptop and have never had this problem before. How can I reset my licences or get more or fix this issue?
All Steam games have a limit of 4 installs per month per Steam account if you ever exceed that then you have to contact Valve to justify why/if they should give you another install.

Its not a good idea to regularly reinstall an OS either as MS will also stop this from activating as they have limits as well.

Got a source to back that up?

There's also no limit on the number of times you can re-install. You may have to go through the telephone activation process if the automated one fails but they won't stop you activating if you only have the software installed on one machine.

You're incredibly wrong.

Steam has no innate install limits. The limitations are set by the publisher, and often publishers like EA set a low number.

All the OP has to do is raise a ticket with EA, and they'll reset the limit count - I've had this issue numerous times, and each time the publisher has resolved it (tho not always very fast!).

Your one of theses ppl who has a cheep laptop and after a month of downloading apps and porn it runs a tad slower with the odd startup error message, and u cba to sort it out so u do a fresh install of windows.
Yup we've all been through that stage before.
