Just a update, i tried a factory reset last night but it is still happening. Going to send it back and have a think. I agree on this TV that i had it was slow, it felt like a windows 95 PC running Windows 10.
Yes TV is up to date, and so are the apps.
The TV is a LG 43LM6300, like i said nothing fancy and i wasn't expecting too much, but to not even use the TVs features is a joke. I will arrange a return and have another look around.
BIB, yeah, but this is what happens when you paddle in the very shallow end of the pool.
Everything as supplied just about works (and that bit is really important), but as soon as you increase the workload then the cracks start to show. Even though the TV has the ability to add apps, the hardware can't handle much beyond what the TV ships with.
It's an LG TV for what, about £40 more than the same sized Bush? Of course they cut corners.... a lot of corners... too many corners. But that's what LG does with its cheap and midrange sets. Cheap, but bad value because they're just too heavily compromised.
All LG are concerned with is hindering a competitor such as UMC or Vestel from dominating the budget end of the market; and they're willing to use TV buyers as the sacrificial pawns in order to make that happen.
The good news is you found out pretty quickly and have chance to remedy the situation before the Argos No Quibble Guarantee expires.
Thank you all for your replies, I think i will create a new thread regarding a new TV purchase because I want to buy at least a half decent one this time
When Firesticks go on sale as they do regularly, it'll only cost you £25 and potentially have greater scope of Apps via the TV. Some TVs even if they're Smart TVs can't install certain newer apps, like Disney+.
