Good morning,

I have not looked into PC gaming since about 2011 when I built a PC for battlefield 3, adult life getting in the way and all that so I would like some help as I literally have no idea what I am looking at now. My last look at graphics cards, cross fire and SLI bridges where all the rage.

I have a PS5 console and have no desire to buy an Xbox but I am interested in game pass on the PC to play some exclusives and also going back and playing some of my older fav PC games on steam.

In work we have this great system where I buy my PC for pennies & I think my PC is fairly decent except the graphics card is of no use for gaming.

So what are my options for a graphics card & I assume a new power supply given the following spec/s. I have absolutely no issue in buying a used Gfx card from a previous generation.

Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz 3.00 GHz
RAM : 32Gb DDR4 memory
Memory : Western Digital PC SN720 NVMe SSD 256GB SN720 SDAPNTW-256G
Current Gfx : Nvidia Quadro P400

Its Running windows 11 & I will have 2 x Monitors which are IIyama BlackHawk G-MASTER G2740QSU 1440p.

Its all boxed in this https://www.fujitsu.com/hk/products/computing/pc/ap/desktops/esprimo-p558/ unit so I don't really know much about the motherboard and power supply.

Budget wise I don't want to be spending £1000's & I would'nt mind being able to game at 1440p60 if possible.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for the help, will keep an eye on some market sales or ebay for 3060Ti (might give me a nice bit of headroom) and a nice 600W PSU. Should come out well under £500. The dimensions of the case are small but I think I have an old gaming PC case somewhere in the loft I could cannibalise in the mean time.

Looking at the specs of your PC. It uses a proprietary motherboard so you won't be able to just buy a larger PSU. You'll need to replace the motherboard also. Note for future, don't buy prebuilds from large companies like Fujitsu, Dell, HP etc.
Also something like 6700XT or 6800XT depending on budget would be my choice over a 3060. Though at this point I'd probably be considering a full new system in all honesty.
As I said in my original post I have bought my work PC as that's been upgraded so this is out of my control, its what the company uses. I only paid £35 for it all with monitors (tax reasons) so I think its a decent buy & id like to make something of it.

I don't game enough to warrant a full new system nor do I want to spend the cash.

Can't complain for £35 then :)

Are you able to upgrade the motherboard? Your current board according to the specs in the link you provided won't accept a standard ATX psu. I was just thinking by the time you've changed the MB, case and added a GPU your well one the way to a new system.
Good point however I am trying to stay away form just adding one extra component as I will spiral & end up building a new system and doing it to a higher spec, then the wife will not be happy.

Thanks for all the help.

I thhnk I will keep some of the components and go with upgrading the bits I need (MoBo, PSU, Case) via the second hand market. Looks like there are plenty of bargains to be had I can do everything I need for well under £500.

Good morning guys, sorry I was meant to respond to this but life has been getting in the way.

After some consideration and the wife deciding on having new carpets fitted my master plan has come unstuck.

I did get the PC home & I like the idea of keeping this budget way down or just knocking it on the head and just using the machine for my photography processing if the gaming side wont work.

So I think Tetras idea of a 6600/XT suits down to the ground (budget wise) I suppose it depends on if I can fit a sufficient powered PSU to the motherboard.

I have managed to find an image of the motherboard; given the specs/image is this possible (6600XT idea?), if so what PSU would suit this given the configuation?
