and my good old trusty 9700 pro is starting to bork. :(

Told you had been a while.

IS there anything which is a roughly the same. Only play the odd game of CS:S now so don't need anything better.

Obvisouly my mobo is AGP and I would like to stay with ATI to avoid driver conflicts any suggestions ??

Cheers for looking

Either card you get, it would still be safe to uninstall all the drivers and reinstall.

As for a card, a second hand X800 would be suffice :)

How much are they going for now then ??

OcUK are selling an X800GTO brand new for £130. You could probably pick up an X800XT-PE for around £140 brand new, similar speeds would be a 6800GT~Ultra.

Or if you wanted to go a bit less extreme, how about something like a second hand 9800pro for around £40~ ;)

New, this is a good card ...
Sapphire ATI Radeon X800 GTO 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (AGP) - Retail (GX-122-SP) Price: £109.95 (£129.19 Including VAT at 17.5%)
