Been using my trustee mockme DSLR for some time a Fujifilm S5500 which I have had for a few years. It was lacking in regards to interchangeable lenses and unfortunately not enough megapixels to blow up pictures to the desired size.

So bit the bullet today after much dileberation as to getting a D40x or a D60 which appear by the reviews to be pretty much identical. But just chose the D60 with a 200mm lense too.

Total novice so looking fwd to playing with the settings

Read the ****ing manual

Semi auto is like Av or Tv mode, does Nikon have a P mode too?

Basically it gives you control of ISO/AF points/file formats and the camera does the rest.

Way I learn't!
