Outdoor sensor light won't switch off

Mine currently strobes. I thought it happened when it was going off, other half says it's when it comes on.
Think illI just end up replacing the whole unit, always annoyed me as the only cool white light outside.

Took it off last night, no adjustment etc, just a simple relay box and wiring to the PIR and bulb. Think I'll just replace it.

they are cheap and they usually only last a few years because they are outside in all types of weather an UV radiation breaking down materials, etc.

you should just buy a new one for £20 like i said every 3-5 years it lasts.

The PIR sensor part has probably got water in it and shorted, I've lost count of how many times our back one has done this. Eventually I learned to drill a hole in the bottom to let it drain out.

has anyone had any experience of solar PIRs like this?

wondering if it would be easier/cheaper than getting the electrician as previously mentioned. the down side is the back garden/garage area where the bins are doesn't get a lot of sunlight, especially in winter, but given i'd only really need to use it 5mins a week or so it might be ok.

pretty much useless.

you don't need an electrician you can run the power lead to a socket in the house and wire it into the back of the socket.

it will mean you need to drill a hole near a socket and place the light near a socket upstairs but it's easy enough to do.

set of ladders, drill and some time.

turn off leccy at mains when wiring it up and it's safe enough.

I have one of the 102 LED units from that company, and a few of the 20 LED units. Had them for a month or so now and I've been thoroughly impressed with them if I'm honest.
