Outlook express error???

Hi can anyone help me for a whie i have had trouble sending messages using outlook express 6
I was with orange and cancelled my account and thought it was due to that but im now using sky and have configured sky using outlook but when i go to send a email i get this error message....

An unknown error has occurred. Subject *******
Account: 'pop.tools.sky.com', Server: 'smtp.tools.sky.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0B

Check your POP3 & SMTP server settings.

What firewall and Anti Virus software are you using, if any?

When troubleshooting problems like this I first disable or close any applications that may cause conflict - anti-virus and firewalls are the obvious choice, because AV software usually has a mail proxy feature and firewalls have rules to allow/disallow communication.

I had a problem with Kaspersky's Internet Suite where the firewall and AV stopped Windows Mail from working properly. To resolve I have to disable the AV's scanning of mail related communications.
