Outlook Express Problem

Hi all,

Just imported a load of dbx files onto a friends PC into outlook express, they were all old backed up emails now i copied them into the locol setting part under documents and settings.... Now this has overided his recent emails (3 months worth :eek:

)so is there any way i can get these back or have they been totaly overided?

The files will have been overwritten with the ones you've tried to 'import'. Unless you have a copy of them then you've lost them as far as I can see.

Maybe next time just import the .dbx files and not copy them into the mail store folder.

Hope that a system restore fixes it?
Past that, i think you've probably lost them.

That's surprising, did it say it was over-writing the files?

I would have thought that unless you actually over-wrote the existing ones, they'd still be floating about somewhere...

Does Outlook Express not use .pst files like Outlook?
I'm afraid I'm far more familiar with that.
