Hello OC Members,

After the last recent years my hotmail ( OutLook ) has been a battle of storage !
I get notification within my e mail hotmail account that I am 9x% used, and need to purchase more, or delete files.

So over the last few months I have deletd a lot of send e mails, e mails with large attachments, and then cleared the archieve, deleted folders.
This only seems to free up 2% - 3% of space, and then a week later I have used another 1%, and week after that another 1% and so on.

What is going on with OutLook as this seems to a neber ending battle !
I MS backing up my e mails to One Drive, or is One Drive saving my e mail attachments !
I really what to clear down this storgae issue, and to faciliate this I will move any photos I hold in One Drive to Amazon Photos Cloude storage.

So what do I need to check where OutLook ( HotMail ) is causing the storage issue ! ?

Many thanks

T

I have had to do something similar for a family member recently. I opened up live.com/Outlook and opened their Microsoft Account. (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2226904) On the landing page there, 2nd section "Microsoft Storage" then gives a summary of how much storage each service is using from the allocated storage.

Was able to goto OneDrive to view the largest files and download and delete them to free up some space. In your case you will be able to click on the Outlook link which will then show large files, or just goto your mailbox and sort by large files.

If you send or receive a lot of photos by email, this is likely what's using a lot of the space.
