Is there a method in outlook to use one inbox folder for the numberous emails that I recieve, for my many different email accounts? I'm using a mixture of IMAP & POP accounts and I would prefer if all emails where put into one inbox folder, from which I could filter appropriately. Given that some accounts receive few if any emails, its abit annoying each having their own inbox etc...

Not sure of the correct way to do it but a workaround would be to setup
rules to move any emails sent to [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] etc. to the designated inbox folder.

I'm not sure if it would work. IMAP leaves email on the server, whereas POP3 (by default) downloads it to your PC.

So essentially you have emails in 2 different storage systems, hence why you need 2 different inboxes.

If they were both POP3 then your method would work and would be the usual way to do this.

Another workaround would be to set forwarding on each email account to a "main" email account and then just use that.

Didn't read the IMAP bit.

Actually thinking about it, if they were all POP3 then they would automatically go into the single default PST inbox, usually people use your method to move them into SEPERATE folders.

Cool, well I can just have two inboxes then. A POP3 one, and my IMAP one.. figured out how to use aliases in my webmail so I just have one account and loads of aliases!! :)
