Outlook not showing all emails

I noticed some discrepancies between desktop outlook 365 and web/phone email clients. In one case an incoming email shows up on my phone/browser, but is not visible in outlook 365 (sky yahoo account), and in another account (Gmail) some emails I sent (not from outlook) don't show in outlook 365 but are visible on my phone/browser. Accounts are set as IMAP/SMTP. No apparent issues with syncing. The emails are not in a any other folder, they are just not there.

Before I nuke outlook can anyone help with why this is happening and if there is a fix?

Extra info: On some occasions outlook will not open and I have to go into task manger, where it is greyed out with a red x on it, and close it to get it working again. This has been going on for a long time.

Struggling to think what's happening. I remember having to switch between "focused" and "other" views in the past, but not sure if that shows on Outlook these days.

It's not something like the Outlook view being set to show as Conversations or something ?
