Anybody else caught this?
Probably the BBC's funniest and most criminally under advertised comedy.
I watched the first series when it aired last year and thought it was brilliant, the second series so far is definitely on a par with the first.
All the performances are fantastic, especially the two youngest kids.
Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin's writing is top notch as usual.
If you haven't seen it yet do yourself a favour and catch it on Iplayer, you won't be disappointed.

Yeah I've started watching this series.
How they get those children to act like that is amazing!
Brilliant show!

I think its a great show and haven't been disappointed by the second series.

Can really feel the embarrassment sometimes from the parents!

It just seems so natural, compare it to My Family or that awful 'comedy' with Nicholas Lyndhusrt After You've Gone - they're all comedies about middle class families. Outnumbered relies on sharp writing, improvisation and great acting. The other two have two dimensional characters, canned laughter and in the case of My Family, ever more ridiculous plots.

Yeah, I like this too. I think you need to have kids to fully get some of the jokes. The little girl impersonating Hells beeping Kitchen was great, and my mrs could empathise with the 'perfect' neighbours haha.

I had to laugh about the perfect family living next door in this week's episode.
I wonder if it works as well for those who are not parents, I do find a lot of the humour stems from laughing at situations I recognise from my own experience as a parent.

I've been watching Season 2 (not seen S1) on iPlayer and on Ep 2 at the moment. The kids are amazing actors but I think the adults are equally good BUT for the show they're dumbed down as characters in order to give better reflection on the children because it is them that is the focus point.

Liking it very much so far. The Gordon "Brown" Ramsey running jokes are bleeping superb and in Ep1 when they were questioning the priest you could almost taste the awkwardness he must have felt!

Haven't seen last night's yet, will try and squeeze it in sometime soon. Love it though, some of the things they say are brilliant.

Exactly my sort of comedy. No canned laughter, no "OH LOOK HERE COMES THE JOKE" buildups, no "hilarious" capers.

Top stuff BBC.

I love Karen, in the character sense not in /that/ way of course but you know what I mean, she reminds me of my niece, the way she talks and the kind of responses she suddenly blips out - makes me laugh every time.

I have been watching a few more eps on iPlayer today as I'm away from home with some family and Ep5 had some superb moments - the head shaving, the supervisor, the coming home late!

Absolute class!

Now I need to source out Season 1 !

Oh and the mum is pretty fit too IMO :p

Thanks for pointing this out. I'm watching series 2 right now, and really enjoying it. The kids are really entertaining to listen to.
