Outriders

Played this twice and enjoyed it, tried multiplayer put nbot for me. May go back at some point and try another character.
 
I am still enjoying it, but struggling to progress with Expeditions. I am on CT 11 now. Strangely I can Gold nearly every level on CT10, but cannot even complete a CT11 map?

I am enjoying the diversity that you have on offer in terms of builds and I am sure that I just need to tweak something to progress.
 
I am currently stuck on ct9 at the moment with wt9 as well.

Haven't had chance to get on in the last few nights but wil try some expeditions and go from there. Normally play multilayer when doing these anyway

Iirc theres a 2 level jump from 10-11, that may be partially why u find it difficult, having all your gear up to level becomes really important at 10, your stats jump quite a bit, even a low level pistol can make a fair bit of difference to your stats, I would ignore builds that want legendary gear & check out some of the builds that can be done without it.

I was only at CT5 and couldnt do it, so I grinded 2 world tiers to 12 and upgraded all my gear(same gear, same build), then breezed though to CT7, now same issue. :cry:

Gonna try and grind more world tiers. Infinite ammo(almost) blighted rounds technomancer build, supposed to be for sniper rifles but using assault rifle as sniper aiming is pants on console(yeah I know its PC thread but same game :p)

Thanks for the advice. You are correct that 10-11 jumps from level 44 to 46. The first thing I did was upgrade my gear and that is all 46 now. I am having no problems killing and I am dealing decent damage, but it is my survivability that I am struggling with. Every so often my health plummets and I am not sure why. I have even recorded videos and watched them back at slow motion. It's like since the last patch I am very squishy compare to before.

Admittedly I was using Emergency Stance before it was fixed and have been trying various replacement survivability mods: Mitigtaion from Death, Rejuvination, Damage Absorber.
 
And I have now done Boom Town and Chem Plant on CT 11, both Silver, so I have unlocked CT12. Time to start levelling up that gear, but it's getting expensive.

I know this game has it's fair share of critics, but I am loving it. The actual gameplay is great and even the repetitive nature of expeditions I am enjoying. Also, I find those build videos really interesting. The way the use groups of mods to complement each other is great. I wish the dev team would buff unused mods instead of nerfing the best ones though.
 
Whats the best way to get better gear?

Multiplayer I can do CT12 but I am finding the connection painful to play with as its yellow\red all the time, disabled cross play and still same issues.

Doing solo I am finding it a bit hard to even attempt CT 12 and have to go back to like CT 8\9 and even then I die.
 
I've played it almost all solo but a group of two would be best without connection issues.

Getting silver on a higher CT is better than gold on one lower. With the extra resources gained you can upgrade the level of your gear which will help push you up the tiers. The average item level of your character gives a big boost to fire and anomaly power. You can check what level you're at by looking at the stats on the inventory screen (press shift), it's in the top right of the window. Apart from that it's farm for a good build and learn the maps / spawns.

What level is your gear? Go through every piece of clothing and weaponary and make sure they are at your max wearable level. Also, there is an issue with the latest patch that causes incorrect damage mitigation - you may be suffering from this. Check you gear levels first though as that does have a massive effect.

Head\chest\leggings are 47 which is my max and boots\gloves are 44.
 
OK - definitely get your boots and gloves levelled up. You will notice a difference - same for your weapons.

Once you've done that you probably need to look at what mods you have on your gear and in particular which survivability mods.

Which class are you playing?

I will take a look at them.

I am running a techno, my issue is that if I lower the CT (for example to 8) I will not get gear at level 47 unless I am running CT 11/12 (unless I am wrong at this which I maybe! lol)

I have been running multiplayer to get the current gear of 47 but I am finding that I am spending all my time trying to find a game thats playable as the connections always shocking when I join a game. Internet is more than fine on every other game but guess this because Outriders uses P2P.

Quick Edit, Take it that I can always try the crafting system to level them both up?
 
Yes - use the crafting system to level them up. You are correct that lower tiers drop lower level weapons.

I am the same as you in that I have unlocked CT12, but I am mainly playing CT11 to get more resources so that I can work on my build.

Another thing I found was the skill tree. Keep reviewing this and respec if need be. For example I am a Trickster and had a skill point in "35% more damage when Damage skill ends (Twisted Rounds)". Then I unlocked items to effectively give me infinte ammo in Twisted Rounds so it was a waste of a skill point as my Damage skill didnt end 90% of the time. So I re-specced and put it in "20% extra damage when behind enemies". This made me use Hunt the Prey more to teleport behind Captains in order to take them out easier. I know it will be different for you as a Techno, but the same principle applies.

I will take a look at them when next on (should be tonight). Its a shame that the multiplayer side of things is so laggy as I do enjoy playing the game.

All my legendary drops (weapons) have been shotguns so far and I hate shotguns lol.

Trying to get my mods library completed but struggling with level 3s atm as legendary's hardly drop at this CT.

Quite hard to get a piece with all the attributes on and at least 1 mod so you can then roll the other mod slot.

EDIT - Just had a quick go and god damn its costing a lot to up the levels on the items.

Max item I can wear is 48, got some to 48 but ran out of titanium

ok - quick tip (not sure if you know this). Once you have completed a run take all your unwanted loot and sell it to Bailey. Then click on her Buy tab and use the scrap she gave you to buy Titanium.
 
Dismantling is good for mods and shards, but you probably have most tier 2 mods now. You do get some Titanium from dismantling, but you will get more by selling and then converting the scrap.
 
Starting to run Expeditions now, did my first at Tier 1 just to know how they work. The ones where you have charge the obelisk.. these are fun solo lol. Really does say "your gear needs work".
