Outside tap stopped working

Hi all,

As title. My outside tap has suddenly stopped working. I think it's the non return valve but I'm checking with the OCUK collective before trying to change it myself.

I turned off all water then removed the outside tap, turned the water back on but nothing came out of the pipe. Inside the garage where the tap leads to I have a non return valve and an isolation valve. Can isolation valves fail?

Is this a DIY job or should I get a plumber in? I'm a bit concerned I don't have much movement in the pipe to remove and reinstall it...

Thanks!

If you unclip the pipe from the wall you’ll have plenty of movement in the pipe.

Close the isolator and then disconnect the outlet side. You can then check if water flows when it’s reopened.

Thanks - took your advice and removed from the clip. I've changed it and all is back to normal. :)
