Outside Tap

'Most' outside taps nowadays have this feature built in.

Edit: As well as most decent hose pipe connectors.

'Most' also break after the first winter :p

For outdoor I thought you needed a one way valve.. it stops the scenario where someone attaches a weedkiller spray to the outside tap and the chemicals find their way back into the house water supply.

You do, that is the function of a 'check' or non-return valve as mentioned

Hi,

Thanks for the advice. I removed the isolation tee and the tap connectors and replaced everything with 15mm pipe, including a 90 degree lever isolation valve and double check valve on the outside tap.

The result is that the outide tap has improved from 180 litres per hour to 960 litres per hour. :D

Thanks
