Oven bulb keeps blowing

good luck ... in interim my parents had a new bosch oven under warranty after 3 bulb blows month back (supplier was replacing them under warranty) supplier decided the oven was defective,
completely crazy to my mind, I didn't have opportunity to say i'lll give you £50 for the supposedly defective oven, they took away.

their replacement bosch oven has now had the bulb in the top oven go and seems to have a weird problem whereby
the top oven in bake mode is using the top element in grill mode so it glows cherry red and burns stuff, and might itself be responsible for overheating/blowing the bulb.

Bosch ovens by their experience definitely not what they were, and if as I suspect this will need replacing again,
I told them they shoulds be demanding a swap to another brand - maybe AEG/siemens ?

Sorry, didn't notice you'd replied on Monday. Yeah, that is pretty crazy that so many bulbs are blowing. I don't know if Bosch standards have dropped, I guess they might have by the sound of things. My Bosch is still going strong and was installed in 2012 back when I had a kitchen refurb. I've no personal experience of AEG and Siemens but I believe AEG is very high quality and probably a bit pricier compared to Bosch?

I had this previously, turns out the bulb I was using was slightly too long meaning the glass enclosure was not fully screwing tight and sealing.

As per another poster, resulted in the glass breaking during use and making a right mess!
