asus 5870 GPU

Currently have system running at 4ghz but the ram is only running at 600mhz

has anyone got some setting i could try to get the best out of my system

currently got multiplier and clk @ 20x200 ram in auto as dont quite know what setting to use

24gb may have an impact on any overclock, as it puts quite a strain on the memory controller.

Yes, Setter has a good point. You'll probably want a lot of VTT voltage for that, and that will mean a lot of heat. I'm running 24Gb RAM at 1600MHz and my mainboard is watercooled as otherwise it just wouldn't cope.

1. Run some benchmarks.
2. Note down the results.
3. Change RAM multiplier to x8*.
4. Run benchmarks again.
5. Note down the results.
6. Change BCLK to 21*.
7. Run benchmarks again.
8. Note down the results.

*If at any time the system becomes unstable, you will need to find an overclocking guide (which there are lots of) and do it properly (which should be done anyway).

:)

Ive never used any xmp modules myself, but from what ive seen, it can often set qpi/vtt voltage rather high, much higher than may be needed using manual tweaking. This adds to higher temps.
