ok Guys as the title says ive been doing my first OC today on my UD5H with a i5 3570k. cooling i have is

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-041-OE&groupid=962&catid=1532 with one small change i have the black ice radiator 54mm thick version

Crrently im sitting on 4.4ghz with a vcore of 1.176v

and my temps under OCCT avx compatable linpack with 90 percent ram use (out of 8gb) after an hour is

core 0 61
core 1 62
core 2 60
core 3 64

according to HW monitor and the registered highest temps are 65c

is this good?

and what is pll and what should it be set to its on AUTO just now

Yeah xdcx its hard to believe 10nm can cause such a jump but when your working in such small scale every bit counts lol i went for water so i could look good and expand later.

it took quite awhile to set up (for me atleast) i leak tested it for over a day lol i think i have most air bubbles out after that time but im told can take up to a week to get every last bit of air out.

Im happy with it so far like my OCing justa few tweaks needed i think lol ty both for being very helpfull :)

wow i knew id be in for a tough time thank god for laptops lol im trynig my 4.5ghz oc as we speak i have had to make a huge jump as setter said im at 1.224v im just slowly increaseing if i BSOD till i hit that sweet spot. i got it to boot at 1.2 but its bsoded after about 5 mins on occt ive tryed the tens like 1.210vcore im litterally creeping it up trying to find these sweet spots lol

Yeah i have gotten to 4.5ghz using a vore of 1.224v

Highest core recorded temp wise hit 70c

i do think its a big bump in vc for 100mhz so i may do as you say an d just accept 4.4ghz for less volts

how can i get whea error logs or does prime 95 have a log i switched to prime 95 (over OCCT) to give both a chance and prime made my comp restart after about 10 mins is this just a case of before i need to up the volts, although i dont understand why OCCT would run for around 3hrs. yet prime would stop after so little time.

Ok wazza got it running and what I thought was fineish lol after an hour I notice it was only using 75 percent cpu, turns out one core had a fatal error saying "rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4"

Instruct me oh wise one lol

i stopped at 4.4ghz at 1.88 v just now till i can try this dvid mode sounds better but since i have dual bios ill switch it and try i there so i have my have stable one here Prime95 ran for 15 hrs before i stopped it myself no error and didnt break 61c so i think its stable lol id like to that you guys for all yoru help and wazza im trying to find your post about dvid on the TT website so if some of your settigns will work for me

OK mighty wazza i have been reading up on this and says if i find stock voltage i assume this is the voltage in the bios when i fire it up (1.140v ) then oc thr fixed voltage way which i have done to find what you need e.g my 4.4ghz needs 1.200v to run stable then I

Subtract stock from needed to find my offset or dvid eg 1.200v
-1.1.40v
= 0.06

so how do i go about this now do i go to dvid and put my multiplyer to 44 and then go to dvid and enter = 0.06?

Im quite happy dude my setting are pretty much the same as yours on the post but i didnt have to adjust ram voltage im running the 4.4ghz with the +0.10 dvid ( been primiming since i said id try itso thats about 3 and abit hours and not had any errors (touch wood) temps have never gone above 60c

when cpu is at 100 percent it moves from 1.880v to 1.212v should i reduce the dvid so its more constant or lower LLC its on medium just now
