Over-rated / terrible movies?

I agree too much hype ... - it was ok thou. The knock at the cabin for me was again way too much hype for a lame plot.
Actually watched (or tried to) this a few months back seeing as it's a cult classic apparently.. yeah, its not very good putting it politely

have to agree i turned it off a big let down.
They are, however the first movie is a key memory for me and what started my love for modified cars, so it holds a special place for me. Also where I got my love for the Toyota Supra. The later ones are complete turds though, I agree.
YESSSSS, so over-hyped that I actually forgot about it, that is how meh it was to me. Worse than even the recent Mario movie in terms of over-hypedness.

Our local Cineworld is having an IMAX for £3.00 day soon, and one of the movies chosen is the Mario one. Why, just why?
At least one is Oppenheimer.
Villeneuve is really losing me these days with Dune 2. Sure it looks and sounds incredible, but the characters and personalities are so forgettable, no one gets to express themselves because 90% of the running time is dramatic cinematography.
Feel like he needs to let someone take the writing reigns so there's some storytelling chops to go with the visuals.

The Suicide Squad (2021). Just didn't get it. So much forced humour that wasn't even funny. Gave up pretty quickly.What was the other one?

Be arsed routing for a cape-wearing, butler-owning billionaire nepo baby whose superpower is being minted. Doesn’t help that he’s got zero personality and is seemingly on a constant downer.
Meanwhile all the enemies he fights actually have a personality and yet I’m meant to route against them and side with the perma depressed dullard in a cape ? wut
