Hello,
Just put together a new machine.
I decided to go for an MSI Z170A - G43 PLUS mobo
http://www.msi.com/product/motherboard/Z170A-G43-PLUS.html#hero-overview
and fitted some Corsair dominator platinum ram... https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...al-channel-kit-black-cmd8gx4m2-my-460-cs.html
I'll hold my hands up and admit I don't have the first clue about overclocking etc. I noticed in the system bios that the ram is running at 2166mhz when its rated at 3000Mhz. I adjusted the settings so it ran at 2966Mhz (I think) and the over voltage protection light illuminated on the board. I dropped it down to 2666Mhz and it still come on. I've put it back to Auto which takes it back down to 2166Mhz and the light goes off??
It booted OK at 2666Mhz but the over voltage light stayed on so not really sure what else to do??

Thanks for any help.
