Hi guys wandering if you experts can help me overclock my cpu and mem, anyhow here is my rig details
Antec Performance TX1050B(Black) with a 500W SmartPower 2.0 psu
Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard(latest bios installed)
Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775)
Corsair 1GB DDR2 Value Select PC5300 Dual Channel Kit (2x512MB) (VS1GBKIT667D2)
and a single stick of 1gb Corsair 1GB DDR2 Value Select PC5300, i have got the dual chan kit in the rite slots so i can use it in dual chan mode, from what i can see both the dual chan kit and the single 1gb stick use the same timings, ie CAS 5-5-5-15 Timings, 1.8v VDIMM.

SoundBlaster Audigy 2 for sound
x1 pioneer limited ed DVR-109(x16 dual layer, with ally bezel)

x1 120gb sata(cant remember the name lol
x1 usb 2 250gb western digital external hd
x1 matrix orbital usb x2 lcd.
x1 1 usb 2 x4 ports
x1 ms sidewinder freestyle joypad(not plugged in, not used that ofton)
x1 Logitech® MOMO® Racing wheel, yes it is very good.
Os is Windows Xp home sp2 all updates applied
all hooked up to a nice viewsonic VA2012w widescreen tft
for speakers i have got a set of Creative GigaWorks® S750 (7:1)
and finaly for typing i use a Saitek PZ08AU Gamers LED Backlit Keyboard
and im old skool for a mouse i use a microsoft intel trackball.
anyhow thats my rig not the best i know, but its all paid for, wish i could afford better, anyhow now to my problem or rather questions.
i have or can rather overclcok the the cpu i prob do it wrong i do it via the bios and use overclcok profile then i set it to 5%, it will go higher i can do a 10 or even 15% overclcok but it changes the memorey from ddr 5300 to 4300 ram, i know you can overclcok each seperate but im realy new to this so i have no idea,, any help would e great
thank you, alo another prob i have had is trying to use motherboard monitor v 5, it doesnt support my board, is there a way around this?

Your idle temps do however seem pretty high, you should really be concentrating on your load temps. Run Orthos, a program which will load both cores to 100% to get an idea of your load temp which will be significatly higher than your idle. I take it you are using the stock intel heatsink which is fine for stock speeds but is dire for overclocking I'm afraid so you may want to consider updraing you heatsink. The best way to overclock is by NOT using the auto settings. Its not what you wanted to hear but the best way is to use the bios which means you should really do a little reading up on what the different bios options do. The memory and cooling solution you are using will hamper your overclocking progress so it maybe the time to get the chq book out.
