first overclock

well guys here is my first overclock, not sure what to make of it but here is a screenshot of it

click me
not sure what to make of the idle temps, i was thinking of trying to get it nearer a e6700 than having it go full pelt at 3ghz, after all i do not want to blow anything.
btw now how do i do a slight overclcok of the ram i know i wont be able to overclcok it much ?
hope i did the image rite lol
anyhow comments and sugestions welcome
again many thanls for the replies

Not bad for a first attempt :) Your idle temps do however seem pretty high, you should really be concentrating on your load temps. Run Orthos, a program which will load both cores to 100% to get an idea of your load temp which will be significatly higher than your idle. I take it you are using the stock intel heatsink which is fine for stock speeds but is dire for overclocking I'm afraid so you may want to consider updraing you heatsink. The best way to overclock is by NOT using the auto settings. Its not what you wanted to hear but the best way is to use the bios which means you should really do a little reading up on what the different bios options do. The memory and cooling solution you are using will hamper your overclocking progress so it maybe the time to get the chq book out.

There are a few forums that have a good guide for the P5WDH, my personal favourites for the P5WDH were :

Happy clocking

hi thank you for the advice, btw if you check my first post it will say that im using an artic freezer 7 pro, im also now not using the auto option, i hav3e used the bios, a link to a guide posted by Variohttp://forumz.tomshardware.com/hard...pict197995.html
this helped a great deal i followed it to the letter changing the options it sugested, im not intested in overclcoking it to a 3ghz though, was just trying to get it to a e6700 clcok speed, and was hoping to ramp up the ram a little bit, and i do realise i wont be able to do a great overclcok on the value ram im using, but atm the ram is the best i can afford at present. so i will have to manage with what i have got, worse luck
anyway thank you for all of the help and comments so far

does anybody know th eoptimum settings so i can take it from a 3ghz to a 2.8 please, i have used the guide supplied wich i found very usefull, here is a link to it, http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hard...pict197995.html
i followed it to the letter and can get it to 3ghz quite easy, a bit overkill as i seems to be a bit hot, so i was thinking of trying it at 2.8 to see how hot that is.
many thanks in advance
