It's up to you really, I wouldn't go over 1.35V personally with it being a £450 chip.. I'm being extra careful and staying at around 1.3V as I plan to keep this long term. If you are fearless then it's probably going to depend on how good your cooling is, at over 1.4V you're probably going to need exotic cooling.

yes i want to keep mine for a good 4 years so dont want to kill it lol i think i might try 4.5ghz and if i can get that on the 1.290 or a 1.300 vcore or close to it then ill be happy what overclock you got on yours with vcore?

it stays at 142W for about 20sec presumably while it caches 10GB of RAM and then it starts working properly and goes to 190W ish.
I've never overclocked in my life. I was using the turbo setting in the AI Suite to get an overclock @4.2ghz used the exact same settings as in the video and have it running nicely @4.8ghz now (I'll give it a days use to 100% confirm that) but it's nice to have the cpu speeds still fluctuate when in/out of use.
