Hey guys, i have my Q8300 overclocked to 3.2GHz and if i overclock any further when i boot into windows i cannot connect to the internet:( It says there are no networks avaliable and my router wont pick up.

Also at the minute, 1 in ever 3 to 4 times i boot my computer it does the same thing and the only thing i can do to get it to connect is by restart the computer.

As i said when i overclock any further it does it everytime i boot into windows and at the minute it does it around 1 in every 4 times i boot.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

sounds like a dodgy mobo chip maybe, are you running it through ethernet cable?

can you pop in an old ethernet pci card and try that?

possibly something to do with the high fsb you are having to run due to the low multiplier on the q8300, are you running over 425 or so ?

Hey guys sorry for the late late reply. Is it the pcie freq in the BIOS your talking about. It gives me a list of numbers from 100 to 115. Can't seem to set it at the 33mhz you suggested.

That's the pci express bus, some motherboards (well all of the recent ones I've seen) don't have pci bus control.

Ive had this issue with realtek integrated LAN and overclocking before. Solution was a cheap Intel Pro 100/1000 eithernet card...
