Ok my Q6600 was nice and stable at 3.6 Ghz on water. Been like this for a few weeks and totaly fine. Then suddenly goes back to 2.4 on cpz etc..., werid, so I try and go into bios, but it just wont have it, press del and just says clocking failed press F1 to continue, grrrr. No matter what I press I cant get it into BIOS, its on a ASUS P5KC should I clear *** CMOS with the jumper? It says how in manual, but says remove battery 1st, this board im sure doesnt have a battery, well I cant see it if it does, so can someone confirm what I should do and let me know if it doesnt have a battery?

Cheers

Yes it does have a battery just like every other mobo, I have ever seen. Look at the left most PCI socket (white) and there is a round silver battery. Pull that out, dump the mains supply then short the jumpers.

Cheers found it, took forever to find, im soo blind. cheers did and seems to have done the trick, just got to go and reclock now

Im not going to worry yet Alex, going to leave stock till I get new case. Then il give u a call and see what we can get her upto.
