Overclock Settings Help

Corsair are lifetime warranty aren't they, and they do RMA if you can't run them at 1066 5-5-5-15. :D

Those sticks have EPP, Enhanced Performance Profiles, old version of XMP I am guessing, can you not enable EPP? :) It's good ram!

Maybe, i dont recall seeing an option for it in the P5Q bios though?

Might be in the ai overclock menu, have you tried the other fsb-nb strap settings Matt? Had a p5q deluxe, found that with 1066mhz ram, running 333mhz fsb-nb strap allowed the memory to run a bit higher than 800mhz, albeit that was with a q6600 and a q9550, (3.8ghz on each cpu) both needed a fair bit of tweaking of pll, nb and fsb-termination voltages

Thanks setter ill try tomorrow.

I think the P5Q is a little bit gimped on the voltage front, i know its missing some voltages which the Deluxe version has.

I could run the fsb at 333 but id have to lower the cpu multiplier a fair bit id imagine to leave the volts at stock.

Why on earth are you overclocking your girlfriends pc, she'll get her shopping/browsing done faster, unless she enjoys the battlefield too??

Lol, i dunno bad habbit i guess. I like to get a free overclock if i can.

I want her to enjoy sims 3 at full quality 1080p. :p

I recently added one of ocuk's 60gig OCZ sata 2 ssd's+a palit 3850 (256mb) to her system so its actually nipping along quite nicely now.

Haha, exactly the same as my best friend, I got her a 5850,overclocked her Q6600 to 3.2GHz, and put more ram in. She was happy. Uses so much custom content it struggles to run smoothly rofl.

I had this problem with a setup like yours.. I also used 2 different ram types but was stuck at 800mhz. But really it will make little or no difference..:)
