Hi,

I was wondering if it is at all possible to overclock my current system, and if so what setting are recommended

CPU: Intel Xeon E5-4617
Mother: Asus P9X79
Memory: G.Skill DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX PC3-12800 (8x 4GB Modules - 32GB)
Graphics: AMD Firepro V5900
HDD: Crucial M4 SSD
PSU: Corsair CX600

Many thanks
Russ

Hi Snips,

Not attempted it yes. Im running a XSPC water cooling Raystorm.

Not sure where I would start with the olverclocking, so any help would be great

You'll want to see what settings tour BIOS will let you tinker with, but generally speaking the method to use is to raise your cpu multiplier one bit at a time, testing for stability each time. If the clock isn't stable, add a notch or two of vcore until it is. It helps to do each component individually so if the system loses stability you know which component is causing problems. Each bit of hardware will have a max safe voltage that you want to stay under, and obviously keep an eye on temps when running stability tests. I don't know your board or much about xeon chips, so I'm afraid I can't be more specific than that.
