Overclocked bundle wont run Black Ops 2

Hi can someone help please as my son has just got Black Ops 2 and it wont run on his system.

I purchased an Overclocked bundle from OCUK as an Intel Dual Core E5300 @ 3.2ghz / Gigabyte GA-P43-ES3G / Corsair XMS2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500c5 DDR2 Bundle.

I appreciate this isn't a great gaming rig, but it should run Black Ops 2? When I look the at system specification it appears to be running as a 2.6Ghz. Black Ops 2 minimum spec is 2.66ghz

The CPU Freq in Bios is showing 2.44 (305x8).

Can someone help me to reset this to the specification that OCUK would have used?

iirc there should be a profile in the BIOS to run the overclock

However it should quite happily run Minecraft, which is far superior in every way possible.

The graphics card is a GTS 250 with 1024 mb.

And yes it runs minecraft fine

It should still run in some form? What error do you get?

The CPU thing is probably just lowering its frequency when not being used.

There is no error message...it just wont start the application!

The system runs call of duty 3 with no problems.

The minimum, spec for graphics is a Geforce 8800...I thought the 250GTS was much superior to the 8800?

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to overclocking...if I want to get this back to running as a 3.2Ghz, should I just increase the CPU clock ratio?

Could be a driver issue... make sure you have the latest drivers from Nvidia and DirectX up to date.

You have a software problem. The crapness of your hardware is not preventing the game from launching.

When you say it does not load the game, does the exe file appear in task manager with about 1Mb of memory allocated to it?

If so try plugging a microphone in sounds daft but other CoD games have had this problem.

Its possibly just idle clocks, try running prime95 and see what its running at in a program called cpu-z , you need to find this our before tweaking clock settings
