Overclocked my cpu, firefox crashing quite a lot - related??

haha so firefox is as stable as a ****ed monkey then =]

Firefox stability has absolutely squat to do with overclock stability. If you're not stable, any program will crash. If you load Firefox up with a million and one garbage extensions, it will crash.

You should be able to get 4GHz out of your chip no probs, I think I had mine at 1.32V for that, so it isn't a massive increase. Just run orthos to test and up vcore a notch until it doesn't fail.

Overclockers are finally sending me my 9800gx2 graphics card back so when i receive it i will do some benchmarking and maybe try and reach the 4ghz mark =]. I think at the moment i am on 1.3 so i will knock the voltage up a bit and see if its stable enough. Will let you know if i get it stable, anybody ever got anything higher than 4ghz air cooled with an E8400?

I have an i5 overclocked bundle and that has been crashing with FF and chrome, I was only running it at 3.4Ghz.

I've just installed the later bios as I was also still getting the large cursor.

Testing it at stock sofar seems ok but know I need to learn how to overclock the damn thing.
