Overclocked p4!

Hi Danz
I have a P4 3.0 Gig Prescott running at 4.0 gig quite happily, on and crunching seti 24/7 rock solid stable (its water cooled), the only time it gets rebooted is when windows DL's and update and reboots itself. I have the P4P-800 board too but havent tried to push it any further yet, keep the temps below 65 as mine will bluescreen above that.

Will it overclock more if i ditch the two sticks of 512mb nanya ram for two more of the same corsair xms 3200 i have?, Also what is this v-mod i hear ov for asus mobo's and will i benefit from doing it?.

No-one's mentioned yet, but be sure to check for stability after every change you make to the FSB / voltage etc.

Google for something called SP2004.

you should run prime for 8-24 hours to check that the oc is fully stable mate. just incase

i wouldnt waste 8 hours every time i changed a setting, for a quick test use super pi (~30 secs), and once that fails back off and test with occt (30 mins), once its stable with occt then use prime (overnight)
