Hi guys,

My cousin bought the "Titan 8700i Pulse" Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40GHz @ 4.40GHz DDR3 Ivybridge Gaming PC (With a GTX 670)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-247-OE

Windows is up and running and I have all the latest drivers and updates I can get but it has had a BSOD about 5 times now (since yesterday).

Heres a pic:

Any ideas on how to resolve?

first port of call

second port of call,

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18383228

third is what was you doing to make it do that? gaming? something pushing it hard etc?

try re seating the cpu fand / heatsink, don't over tight but also it doesn't want to be loose either.

but a clock message may mean a faulty overclock etc, so 3rd port of call is give OC a ring

0871 200 5054

they will talk you through it once you have done a few of above first etc and double check your build b4 a few times so nothing simple is wrong like header etc in the wrong whole etc

let us know how you get on or if you want any more help etc

I can't do the first test at the moment as I'm at work.

The CPU is running at 4.4GHz. I checked this within the BIOS.

The only thing I have been doing is installing Windows updates and downloading Steam games. I have not been on a game yet.

easy way to test, take out your video card if m/b as onboard and see if it still errors as well, or bios and set to default so no overclock on, as it 's saved in profile anyway so easy to get back if neded

Well it seems to run fine when not using the ocuk profile. Guess I'll have to call. Thought this was tested before the pc is shipped out. :(

it is, but not with the bit you have added etc

so it could be a bad overclock, or just an error with something else in the system that wasn't there when tested etc

either way a phone call will sort it

The Bsod code generally means more vcore, so you could try upping the vcore a notch and see how you go on, however you paid for a overclock which doesnt work, so you would be fully within your rights to contact OcUK about it.

Well I phoned up today. Got through to somebody about 4:40PM. He said he would get somebody to send me an email with different BIOS settings in about 15 minutes. Sadly though, I'm still waiting for that email. I guess I'll have to phone again on Monday. :(

Thanks for your input though guys.

I am also thinking of puchasing an overclocked bundle, so i was wondering did you get this problem resolved...

I contacted them again and this time they have sent me instructions on what to change in the BIOS. Not able to test the new settings until the weekend now as my cousin was eager to take his PC home.

Did this get resolved? I bought the same system* and have just had a BSOD too.

*Different graphics card though: HD 7770

From my research I believe you have a bad core:

Go here: http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/55552-bsod-crash-error-stop-0x00000101.html

I hope this helps :)

EDIT: just for information sakes, the first stop code 0x00000101 <---- type this into google:

Stop code 0101 or something of that effect should bring results up for you.

I would recommend saving this website since it hosts all stop codes and their meaning :)

I've been looking at this system tonight also so would be interesting to find out what the issue is?

unstable overclock issue. easy to resolve.

If you're not clued up in the bios they would tell you the exact settings to change. I have bought 3 ocuk prebuilds and never had unstable o/c though.

It did not get resolved. The new settings they sent me did not resolve the issue. But my cousin did not want to send it back and wanted to keep the default clock settings.

If hes happy a guess thats not bad then but me personally if a paid for the overclockers system ad want the option of the OC....

I would have sent it back too, at the end of the day ocuk charged you for an overclocked system as advertised and you're paying for it. If he's happy with default then should have just bought it seperately for probably cheaper?
