Overclockers TV: 8-Pack, Benchmarking Like A Boss

Really good video! I was wondering if 8Pack was actually trying to set new records and be in the zone or just having fun simply for the video? Even if 8Pack wasn't, the level and effort for detail that Pro's put into benching, em, benchmarking is amazing to see :)

I think I was pushing it asking for an SSD let alone liquid nitrogen :p but because I work on the uni site, maybe at some point I can get hold of some and try some experiments on my old AMD work pc :p the mobo can only support 4GB of RAM... sucks so bad. especially when I have my computer at home to compare it with!

while i know your qualified at what you do the narration is pretty bad. it sounds like you are either not comfortable speaking or you were made to speak slowly like a retarded robot so people could make out what you saying. sounds like you cant breathe and are being held back monotonous.

The accent shouldn't bother you it's not far from you :D

hes not a presenter and tbh most would find it hard at first in front of a cam.
 
surely the definition of being 'professional' is being paid to overclock?

I like the others thought the narration was stilted and the content wasn't as interesting as it could have been, i only made it three mins in.

Me and 8 Pack are from the same part of the country (not aberdeen!!), I'd imagine his speech is intentionally slow and clear so everyone can understand him as I'd presume he normally speaks quite fast as I do.

Regardless a good video and look forward to seeing more.

Are you guys going to be putting up some coverage from 8 Pack at msi's booth at gamescon? Have a hunch more records are going to get demolished with that 780 lightning.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldnt a slip with that liquid nitrogen leave you short a few fingers? You dont seem to wearing gloves!

not saying its easy i just didnt find it professional or a great narration.

the video was too long and not exciting or intriguing to watch.

no one is questioning his oc skills just the video and commentary .

the oc videos are pretty new so take from the criticism and good points and make better. for first video it was decent just not as good as it could be.

also i was going to do a redux of that video to just get in what was needed got it down to 45 secs ocuk video of it was 7 mins !!!!

it rolls of your hands when poured.

The liquid nitrogen evaporates on contact with your skin

if a small amount spills on you then it will not be there long enough to cause damage. if there is a lot of LN2 on you in a concentrated place for a few moments then it can be harmful. but the way 8pack handles it in this video is perfectly normal practice.

It's not as dangerous as you seem to believe, you have to be pretty stupid to do yourself any serious damage...like drinking it, working with no ventilation or immersing a part of your body into it. Pro's decant it into small manageable containers to reduce the risk of a major spillage.

I remember being told in my science GCSE that gloves are actually worse - spill some on your gloveless hand, it just rolls off, but spill some into a glove you're wearing and it stays in contact, which is bad.

Just don't dip your fingers in it.
 
Thanks guys for the comments. Taken on board. I have many more vids to shoot for reviews, systems and more benching so will try implement as best I can what your asking.

Pigi is kinda correct I was delibrately speaking slowly so as to allow people to understand the Northern twang!!!
