Hi Guys,
So now that Portugal have shocked us with a win over France we have now finished this competition. Now due to the problems with points not showing correctly the winner will not be announced yet as we are looking into why the points are not showing correctly.
We will also look at the points for the first game and decide what we will do with regards that game.
We need to ensure that this is done correctly and the correct winners get there prizes.
Please be patient and I will keep you updated.
If you do want to send me an email with regards to your points not matching the table please email my trust and we will make sure it is correct. Hopefully the change that is made will make sure everyone's points match the leader table.

Hi, Yes it has taken us a little while to sort out but we are nearly finished and almost double checked. I will post the results in the morning once the double check has been completed.

What? You seriously don't see how that would be unfair? I'm not going to win so it doesn't really matter but for the sake of being fair, why should you get points for the first game when others were simply unable to predict the score. It's not like we chose or forgot to predict that game, we simply couldn't. So you gain an unfair advantage. It's like giving a few teams in the Premiership an extra game to get more points and denying others the same opportunity...
I can understand that you want to try and win but being impartial, I'd scrap the first game unless there was a genuine reason why I and a few others couldn't predict that game and it turned out to be our fault.
Anyway, I'm sure the guys will sort it out.

So we have been going over the results of the competition manually over the last few days and making sure that we have counted up all the points correctly and double checked them to make sure.
So the issue with the points was that one of the games allowed people to enter a prediction after the game had finished which was the Spain vs Italy game. Anyone who entered the prediction after the game has had the points deducted from the score.
Regarding the France game The winner did not even predict the first 4 games and won by 3 points. Also a lot of people did not get a prediction on for the first game and the ones that did get it in on time have not had an effect on the top 3 results.
So the top three winners of the competition are:
1st - Haco
2nd - Safetytrousers
3rd - Planty
There has been a lot of change in the top 10 due to the points issue not showing correctly and as we have manually checked them these are the final results.
