overclockers website running slow?

as the title I've noticed that the web pages take some time to load, if i click any category on the site it load up but has a white screen for a few seconds and then it loads fine, first noticed it late last night 12/6/20 and its still doing it.

are they performing maintenance or is the website under high load and thats why its slow?

I have had the same for ages, can only assume it's either my browser or DNS / piHole?

Yeah for me it is DNS/piHole, it is blocking the following :

With piHole disabled it loads instantly. It's not an issue for me personally.

up until yesterday night the site would load instantly and be really fast and no problems at all, this is what happens

i get a loaded website with a white screen

then around 2 seconds later it will load up normally like below

any ideas what could cause this, any other website i visit is instant click and load, checked my router settings and nothings changed, should i look at windows firewall settings perhaps?
 
Has happened to me before on pc the mobile version was fine
Every page on ocuk was taking 4 or 5 seconds to load
It eventually went back to normal without
Me doing anything though was a couple of weeks like that
At least nothing I am aware of
Disabling ad blockers etc didn't help for me anyway

yeah its weird as the forum part that were on loads instantly, but going onto the main site its slow :(

Press F12, click the network tab, refresh the page and post a screenshot of the timeline that may help.

Obviously try Disabling any adblockers anyway or whitelist ocuk
But none of that helped for me including Disabling my router based adblockers
In the end up I treated it like I do when Facebook plays up
Ie I realised it may be something I couldn't fix my end and just waited it out
Though was very frustrating to say the least

i have changed the ad block from adblock ultimate to ad block for fire fox, loading overclockers is a bit better but still get a white screen for 1 second before loading the page correctly

posted the wrong image find the corrected one above (notice the 3088ms ping, wtf is that about?)

For me it's all the embedded stuff on the page.

You can see it takes 11 seconds to fully load, the page loads after 2 or so seconds, caused by the youtube and embedded ad requests, then the youtube query at the very bottom completes in the 11 second timeframe.

found it, the load time for overclockers is 4.59s, the finish time is 35.38s, DOMContentloaded 1.48s if any of that helps, its only overclockers thats doing it no other website i visit is as bad as overclockers.

done the same thing on the forums and the load time is 1.24s, the finish time is 3.49s, DOMContentloaded is 349ms. Why does the forum work properly but not the website?


just noticed its taking around 740ms to receive the data from the overclockers website after i press f5, if i do the same on the forum it takes around 18-36ms after pressing f5
