Ok so aswell as other things I have ordered the following

Processor-3570k
Motherboard-z77-d3h
Cooler - Thermalright 120
Psu - 600w super quiet
Memory - Geil Leggera 8gb

So I have a few questiong regarding overclocking

1. What temperature of cpu should i not look at going over when running prime for 1 hour

2. What vcore should i not look going over I know tthis is linked to temperature.

3. What changes do I make to memory settings when increasing multiplier

4. for this combo whats settings are good to start of with

Thanks,

Jonny

My personal thoughts about IB overclocking

1. 85c
2. Air cooling less than 1.3v
3. none
4. sorry I don't know your MB. However cpu 1.3v or less PLL 1.6v. ram voltage as specced on the Dimms.

Good luck

so i have overclocked before ahes ago this is how i did it is it still the same

increase multiplier until system / prime crashes
then increase voltage and repeat

stop all this if temp breaches 85c or obviously if stress test keeps failing

Thanks

The CPU is rated up to 105c. If you are stress testing with prime or IBT, 85C is perfect as this will mean 70C or less in games etc.

4.4 is fine @ 70C as the last posters sig shows...
