Ive got an old gaming rig that I’ve recently added a Radeon Vega 56, I’m concerned the CPU might be a blotter neck so I’m trying to have another go at a stable OC.
Im following this thread as someone listed this here before - https://www.overclock.net/forum/6-intel-motherboards/916621-asus-p8p67-m-pro-ocing-guide.html
After spending most of the afternoon on this I’m a bit confused unlike some other guides this mentions increasing the multiplier and the ATV (additional turbo voltage) to get a stable clock, the main CPU voltage setting stays as auto.
This thread seems to state a different method..manually changing the CPU voltage.

It runs at 4.5 ok so far but only been testing today, I’m using prime95 as the test, I’m using Hwinfo to watch temps and CPU, but I’m confused what I’m looking for I can’t see the CPU voltage going up. All four cores show a VID of 1.186-1.96 max..temps are at 65 max

I don’t want to mess it up or risk damaging the system, I plan an upgrade next year, any hints or tips ? Am I doing this right? Or shall I lower it to 4.2 etc

Appreciate any help.
