Hi,

I have a Toxic 6950, I unlocked it and benched it.

Here are my CCC settings:

GPU: 900 MHz

Mem: 1350 MHz

Powertune: +50%

(Fan 50%)

I've been getting really crazy benches from it:

Furmark: Score: 2442 points (40 FPS) @ 1080 with i5 2500k
http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/furmark_score_190.php?id=68251

I've seen people with 670s getting 2414 (40FPS) -
http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/furmark_score_190.php?id=68210

And people with 680s getting 2700 (44 FPS) -
http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/furmark_score_190.php?id=68257

What I want to know is if my graphics card will last as long if I keep it at these setting, and if its safe (it seems super stable - ignore the heat reading I did a burn test straight into the 60 sec bench - its running cool normally). Also at these setting (I play games at 1080) will my lowly 6950 actually run games comparably to a 680?

Its truely a great situation for you to be in. that is a great overclock and will keep you going for a while.

Have the GTX670/680's in those tests been overclocked though?

Not if you keep using furmark!

Your brave using Furmark/Kombustor, nothing like roasting the nuts off your gpu!

As above use non lethal Benchmarks like Heaven or Crysis.

You need 2 6950's to give you the oomph of a 680, but they will run slightly faster than an oc'ed 680 though.

I'm going to buy another Toxic 6950.

I got the card up to 950, for an extra 4 FPS on Fur.

My desktops in my suitcase now though.... So I've do the heaven bench later.

Been running my ref sapphire 6950 version 1 with unlocked shaders at 960 x 1375 @ 1.25v since the first week i got it in dec 2010. What voltage + temps you running the core at drhf? And quit using furmark you're asking for trouble.

Had to mod the fan profile a bit, but card still going strong. The only games it slightly struggles with are with bf3 so reduce aa to 2x, metro and crysis 2 dx 11 pack. All those games I don't even play now anyway. When I get round to it i'll try out max payne3 as I completed all the others many years ago, be interesting how crysis 3 will run too. But for now i just don't see the point in upgrading to this gen of cards for the money involved.

Yeap....

I just checked the scores... I think they are meaningless!!!

People score all over the place, I'll do a heaven bench later.

Do heaven or 3DM2011 if you must, but in game results are the best as benchmarks does not reflect real life!
My card does 1000 core 1400 mem with 1.3V
