Hi guys,

Could anyone point me to a guide or give me some tips on how to go about clocking my GTX, the programs needed and basic steps etc.

Also do you actually see a worthwhile increase in performance to bother overclocking or is it simply for benchmarks?

I use RivaTuner to overclock and ATITool to test for stability.

To start overclocking, open up riva tuner, click on "customize" under "driver settings", and click on the graphics card icon. Bump up the core and memory speeds a bit, say 5MHz and 10MHz respectively. Then hit ok and open ATITool. Hit scan for artifacts and let it run a while, say an hour. If no artifacts appear repeat the process until you start getting errors. Back the clocks down a bit from the highest stable levels, and check the "apply overclocking at windows startup" box in rivatuner.

You should be able to hit around 630MHz Core and 1000MHz Memory relatively easily on your GTX. Make sure your temps don't get too high though, anything over 85C is probably a bit much.
