hi,i ve overclocked my rig(see sig).if i give an account of what ive done can anyone suggest if i need to do more to boost speed a little.

fsb to 400x6=2400mhz at 36deg idle and 41 max load with 2xsuper pi
vcore at standard 1.28v
pcie at 105 mhz(up from 100)
ram at 900 mhz unlinked
spread spectrum disabled

do i need to increase the mcp or spp?
any advice appreciated

400x7 = 2.8mhz it should be
it should do 3.2mhz on stock volts.

i dropped the multiplier to 6 so i could increase the fsb

Now the FSB is safe, you can put the multiplier back up. You could drop the FSB to 340, increase the multiplier to 7 (giving you 2.38 GHz) and then slowing increase the FSB back to 400 (giving you 2.8).

i thought the standard vcore for the e6300 was 1.325? at least my MSI detects it at that. also check your ram volts, as mine for some reason kept setting themselves to 1.6v even though its supposed to be at 2.2v standard

hi thanks for the replys,i kept the multiplier at 6 and crept up to 3ghz but even though it showed 3 in the bios it reverted to 1800 mhz when booted!will try to up the multiplier and set it to 340 mhz and start from there.are there any other bits ie spread spectrum that i should'tweak'?
